Mr. Johnson has over 25 years of experience in the field of water and waste water instrumentation.  He has a BS in Geology from Old Dominion University and has been trained and certified by multiple collection systems instrumentation manufacturers.  He has experience teaching to both operators and engineers for continuing education purposes.  His company is the representative for several leading Collections Systems lines including; Hach Flow, Accusonic, Siemens, Infosense and Virtual Polymer Compounds.  TJ is also Chair of the VWEA Collections System Committee and is the former WEF National Coordinator for the Operations Challenge Collections Systems event.

Jason Mathey

Southeast Regional Manager, LMK Technologies

A graduate of Eastern Illinois University, Jason Mathey is LMK’s Southeast Regional Manager.  In his 9 plus years of experience here at LMK he has also held the title of Director of Research and Development, Training Manager, and Fabrication Manager.  Throughout his years he has been responsible for testing new materials and equipment and developing new equipment and processes as well as taking part in the testing and development of the NIST project for Mold in-Place Pipe. Jason has also trained new crews to install LMK products and operate support equipment. Further, Jason also offers on-the-job technical support and has contracted out several “off the wall” jobs encountered by some of our licensees.

Operations Manager/CUES Mapping Services

Mr. Monday has been with CUES Mapping Services for a period of 4.5 years where he serves as a technical lead for the Accurate Mapping Probe (AMP) technology.  The AMP technology is a gyroscopic based technology that is inserted into pipelines and collects positional measurements in the XYZ axes and is utilized in GIS and As-Built applications. Additionally, Mr. Monday is responsible for bringing the AMP technology into the different utility market segments.  Prior to CUES Mapping Services, Mr. Monday held positions in Engineering Consulting Firms over a period of 23 years with a majority of that time spent at Michael Baker Corporation.  Mr. Monday also develops data dictionaries for feature/attribute GPS collection in support of GIS platforms for multiple clients and performs training of GPS systems.

Mr. Monday also works in recommending other advanced technologies developed by CUES.   These advanced technologies involve the following:

  • Solid FX – Digital Sonar, Digital Video and 2D LiDAR utilized to determine large pipeline condition and corrosion assessments
  • FX 3D – 3D LiDAR utilized in mapping larger pipelines and performing condition assessment
  • Future Scan – In-pipe penetrating radar utilized to determine if voids exist around pipelines
  • SPiDER – Spherical Imagery Digitally Enhanced Rendering technology utilized in mapping manholes, vaults and/or underground chambers
Jake Saltzman

Jake Saltzman

Worldwide Technical Director, Picote Solutions

Jake Saltzman, Worldwide Technical Director for Picote Solutions, has more than 20 years of experience in construction and over 15 collectively in the pipe trades. He has worked in the Trenchless Industry in positions from Regional Sales Manager at LMK Technologies, Inc. to Owner and President of First Response Services, Inc. In 2011, which was featured on the cover of Cleaner Magazine for its success using social media marketing and networking to quickly grow the business.

His career has now taken him to Picote Solutions in the great state of Georgia where he now enjoys spending time with his wife and two children on their family farm.  Jake is a licensed plumber, a certified confined space and trench safety trainer, and an epoxy coating specialist as well as a certified installer for numerous trenchless rehabilitation systems in everything from pull-in-place technologies to air inversion methods.

Mid Atlantic Regional Manager, TT Technologies

Mike Schultz, a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, is the Mid Atlantic Regional Manager for TT Technologies, Inc.  TT is a manufacturer of trenchless construction equipment including horizontal boring tools, pneumatic pipe rammers, pipe bursting and directional drilling equipment.  Mike has been with TT almost twenty years (starting in October 1996) and is responsible for sales, training, and technical support for all of the company’s  products  in  the states of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington, DC.

Mike has always taken the “hands-on” approach at TT and has been directly involved in:

Pipe Ramming – bore diameters up to 72” and lengths to 250 ft.
Pipe Bursting – rehabilitation of water, sewer and gas pipe diameters through 36” and lengths up to 1000 ft.
Directional Drilling – bore diameters up to 8” and drill assists/rescues through 36”and lengths to 2700 ft.

Mike has recently worked with WSSC and the City of Baltimore to implement pipe bursting as a sewer rehabilitation method for those agencies’ current consent decree programs. He has partnered with the agencies, contractors and pipe suppliers to develop pipe bursting as a valid solution for their current rehabilitation needs.

William Goff

William’s education includes civil, electrical and chemical engineering.  He is a certified public manager and utilities consultant and has more than 43 years’ experience in the water and wastewater industry, as former Water & Sewer Superintendent for the City of Myrtle Beach, SC.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Penn State/ICS. He is certified public manager and co-author of the South Carolina Voluntary Certification. He is a member of Water Environment Federation and American Society of Certified Public Managers.

Project Development Manager - Water & Waste Water, Sherwin-Williams Protective and Marine Coatings

Murray Heywood has been in the paint & coating business 34+ years, essentially his entire working life. Murray grew up in a paint and coating family business working for his Father in the early part of his career. Murray worked as an Applicator/Foreman/ Project manager and contractor until the age of 35. In 1998 Murray decided he needed a new challenge and accepted a position with ICI/Devoe Coatings as a Commercial/Industrial Sales Representative in the Toronto market.

One year into his new career Murray took the opportunity to go into full time Industrial sales with Devoe and stayed with Devoe for 7 years. Murray then accepted a position as Industrial Sales Representative for Sherwin Williams Industrial & Marine Coatings in Eastern Ontario where he stayed until mid 2008 when he was offered a position with the newly formed International/Devoe Protective Coatings as the Industrial Business Development Manager for Eastern Ontario. Murray stayed with International/Devoe until April 2010 when his entrepreneurial spirit drove him to start HIS (Heywood Innovative Solutions Inc.) His is a protective coating consulting and Inspection firm based in Toronto Ontario, Canada. Tyler Heywood, Murray’s oldest son joined the firm in 2011 and together they grew there small business into one of the premier Inspection and consulting firms in Ontario. Murray focused much of his attention with HIS on consulting, third party coating inspection and failure analysis inspections.

Sherwin Williams approached Murray in the summer of 2015 and offered Murray a position of Water & Wastewater Project Development Manager for Eastern North America. With Tyler firmly in place and ready to take the reigns of the family business Murray decided a new challenge was in order and accepted the position with Sherwin Williams.

Murray is a NACE Level 3 Certified Coating Inspector as well as holding a SSPC – PCS (Protective Coating Specialist certification and completed his Level 1 Welding Inspection Certificate. In addition to his certifications Murray is NACE Instructor teaching the NACE Coating Inspection Course. Murray is currently heavily involved with the SSPC as the Vice Chair of the Ontario Canada Chapter and sits on various SSPC Committees.

Eliot McCleese has been in the coating industry since 2003 when he worked as a foreman for Crossway Coatings.  In those 13 years he has earned certifications as NACE level III Coatings Inspector w/Bridge Endorsement, SSPC Concrete Coatings Inspector, and SSPC Quality Control Supervisor.  He has been a Technical Service Representative for the Sherwin Williams Company since 2013.
