CCTV Operator – Sewer Line Inspection:


Perform CCTV Inspection of Sanitary Sewer & Storm Water systems on a daily basis. Inspections are performed as required by preventative maintenance programs and in response to system failures in emergency situations. Perform routine maintenance and inspection of camera equipment.


Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Inspect Sanitary Sewer & Storm Water Pipes with CCTV equipment
  • Inspect Sanitary Sewer Lateral Services with CCTV equipment
  • Determine the optimum method of conducting an inspection based upon field conditions
  • Produce Daily Reports of inspections completed
  • Maintain CCTV equipment in good operating condition

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 2-years CCTV Inspection experience of Sanitary Sewer or Storm Water
  • Ability to complete applicable reports, records, and related administrative tasks
  • Strong work ethic
  • Works independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to perform maintenance on CCTV equipment

Required Qualifications:

  • NASSCO PACP/MACP Certified
  • Valid Driver’s License with no major infractions for the past 3 years
  • Must live in our area or be willing to relocate

Equipment Operator/Pipe Layer:


This individual will be involved in every phase of the pipe laying and dig-and-replace process. They will be responsible for such things as equipment operation and maintenance, site preparation, and excavation.


Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Replacement/Installation of sanitary sewer laterals & mainlines
  • Sanitary Sewer pipeline point repairs
  • Back-fill and site restoration
  • Frame & Cover replacement
  • Asphalt/concrete patches

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong work ethic
  • Experience operating an Excavator and/or Backhoe
  • Experience in digging around existing utilities
  • Able to read and understand Engineering Construction Drawings

CIPP Lining Technician:


Trenchless rehabilitation of sanitary sewer laterals or mains using a CIPP process through a clean-out. Our lateral rehabilitation system provides a structural and watertight solution to renewing sewer laterals and their connections to sewer mains.


Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Trenchless rehabilitate sewer laterals from cleanouts to mainline via CIPP process
  • Trenchless rehabilitate sewer lateral connections at main via CIPP process
  • Produce daily reports of each lateral CIPP installed
  • Maintain lining equipment in good operating condition by cleaning, daily inspection, and small minor repairs

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Class A CDL REQUIRED
  • Strong work ethic
  • Mobile boiler operations preferred

Manhole Rehab Technician: 


Experienced manhole rehab technician via cementitious & epoxy coating to sanitary sewers and storm drain manholes. Seal brick & precast structures via cementitious coating, hydraulic cement, chemical grout, etc. Build bench & inverts for newly installed structures. Work with concrete spray rig to rehabilitate manholes and hand trowel when applicable/necessary. Capable of providing creative solutions to rehabilitating structures & pipes.


Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Rehab manholes via cementitious coating
  • Rehab manholes via epoxy coating
  • Replace manhole frame & covers
  • Build new bench & inverts
  • Plug & abandoned pipe segments
  • Seal & stop infiltration around pipe connections, seams, and cracks
  • Install various frame seal products

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 3-years manhole rehab experience
  • Class A CDL preferred
  • Extensive hydraulic cement experience
  • Grinder & hammer drill experience
  • Sandblasting experience preferred
  • Concrete spray rig experience desired
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to complete applicable reports, records and related administrative tasks

Vactor Operator:


Experienced Vactor (wash truck) operator for the purpose of cleaning sanitary sewer & storm water pipes. Perform preventative maintenance programs, heavy cleaning, & root cutting. Additionally, clean sanitary sewer systems located in easements and remove debris via catch baskets. This is not strictly a driving position.


Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Clean Sanitary Sewer Systems
  • Clean Storm Water Systems
  • Root cutting via mechanical cutters
  • Easement Cleaning
  • Operate and maintain Vactor truck

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong work ethic
  • Minimum 1-year Wash (Vactor, VacCon, Camel) Truck Experience
  • Mechanical Cutting Experience (Root, Grease, Tap Cutting)
  • Capable of lowering and removing suction tubes alone

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver’s License – good driving record over the last 3 years
  • CDL Required (Class B with Tanker Endorsement ok, but Class A Preferred)
  • Must live in our area or be willing to relocate

Operate remote cameras to videotape inside sewer lines for inspections and determine if cleaning and/or repairs and reinstatement of service laterals after rehabilitation (cutting taps) are needed. Reinstate service laterals after rehabilitation (cutting taps) as needed.


Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Utilize remote cameras and CCTV equipment to videotape inside sewer lines for inspections
  • Determine whether cleaning and/or repairs are needed
  • Reinstatement of service laterals after rehabilitation (cutting taps) when needed
  • Service, adjust, and perform minor repairs to cameras and equipment
  • Learn CIPP products and Prism processes, safety procedures, and installation techniques
  • Work effectively with supervisors, clients, peers, and subordinates

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Robotic tap cutting experience required
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to complete applicable reports, records, and related administrative tasks
  • NASSCO, PACP, and MACP Certifications are a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Required Qualifications:

Trenchless Rehab Apprentice:


Prism’s Trenchless Rehab Technician Apprenticeship Program is a two-year program that is recognized by the Virginia Department of Labor and Industry. Candidates will learn all aspects of the Trenchless Rehab field including the following:

  • Clean & TV Inspection of Sewer Systems
  • Manhole Inspection and Rehab
  • Main Line Rehab Using Cured-In-Place Pipe Lining
  • Lateral Line Rehab Using Cured-In-Place Pipe Lining
  • Dig & Replace of Sewer Systems

Along with learning specifics of the Trenchless Rehab trade, candidates will learn several other skills to work within the industry, such as Fundamentals of Project Management, Effective Oral and Written Communication, and Finance and Accounting. 

This is a full-time position with the opportunity to learn and grow within the company.
