Henry S. Brascome
Henry S. Branscome LLC, is a general contractor specializing in grading, excavation, utilities, civil and environmental construction. Prism Contractors and Engineers, Inc. has performed several projects for Henry S. Branscome including the CIPP lining of a mainline storm drain at the College of William and Mary.
Inspection Services
- TV Inspection of 400 LF of Sanitary Sewer in Newport News, Virginia (2011)
- Clean and TV Inspect 3,000 LF of 8″ to 42″ Storm Drain at Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia (2012)
Trenchless Rehab
- Installed one CIPP Storm Drain with a 18″ – 24″ transition at the College of William and Mary in December of 2014.
- Pipe is cleaned and inspected prior to rehabilitation
- Line is pulled to access point
- Resin-saturated Liner is prepped
- Liner is transported to acess point
- Liner is attached and pulled through the pipe
- Once the pipe is in place steam is used to cure the resin and form a tight-fitting jointless and corrosion-resistant replacement pipe
- Steam fills the Liner initiating the curing process
- As the liner cures heat transfer is monitored to prevent over heating the resin which can weaken the finished liner.
- After the cure has completed, the liner is slowly cooled to prevent shrinkage.
- The rehabilitated pipe is then inspected by closed circuit TV
- Finished liner boasts a 50 year design life
- Installed two 8″ CIPP Sanitary Sewer Pipes at the College of William and Mary in January of 2015.
